I wanted to spend more time outside.
Living in Cambridge, MA just before the pandemic hit, I found myself scrolling through Instagram accounts of bushcrafters, campers, and other outdoor activities. This, paired up with skilled trades and hobbies such as leatherwork, woodworking, and more, specifically filled my cup and I yearned for more.
I knew that I wasn’t an expert or even knowledgeable in any one of these categories, but I thought it might be fun to start a community to witness learning, triumphs, and failures in real-time. I thought, “if I’m going to spend time at night scrolling through this content, I might as well dive in as a creator and learn something.”
This is why I started How To Bushcraft; a place where people can come together to share ideas, knowledge, and feedback on a variety of subjects that have an underlying tone of nature and survival.
